Tired of Cats Being the 'Underdog?'
Why Kitty's Rawr Store puts Cats on top.

Raw feeding has undoubtedly become much more popular with both dogs and cat over the last few years, but I still feel that cats are getting the 'raw' end of the deal....(see what I did there?!)
When searching for 'Raw Food' online, you are shown many, many options....for dogs. Whilst some of the sites you are directed to also do stock cat food options, this humble selection will be tucked away in the websites back room. Personally, I'm tired of cats being an afterthought to dogs and if you're reading this, you may be inclined to agree.
Kitty's Rawr Store caters to cats 100% and is designed for cat keepers & lovers everywhere!
Don't get me wrong, I am an animal lover through and through and I love dogs just as much as cats having kept and cherished both equally. But I do wonder why raw dog food is more publicised compared with cat raw food? Kitty's Rawr Store just wants to give cat raw food proper representation.
Cats Protection conducts an annual survey about cats in the UK and here are some interesting points from the 2024 survey listed below, for the full report visit; CATS Report 2024 | CATS Report | Cats Protection.
There are around 10.6 million owned cats in the UK. (Mirrors the 10.6 million owned dogs according to PDSA's Paw report of 2024).
One in four households (25%) own a cat.
For the first time, more pedigree cats (45%) were acquired in the last 12 months than moggies (43%).
Neutering numbers have remained stable, 9 million (85%) are neutered, 1.4 million (13%) are not neutered. The top reason for not neutering is that the cat does not go outside (20%).
33% of owners identify their cat as overweight, while 27% think their cat is an ideal weight and 37% worry that their cat is underweight, very similar to 2023 figures.
One factor found to be independently associated with an increased risk of cat obesity was cats being fed dry food as the only or major (greater than 50%) type of food in their regular diet.
56% of owners say that they seek information or advice about their cat or watch informational videos online at least once a month, increased from 49% in 2023.
Companionship, reducing loneliness and reducing stress were collectively the top reasons for owning a cat (54%) for the fifth consecutive year (54% in 2023).
92% of owners consider their cat part of the family.
The number of owned dogs and cats in the UK is almost the same, yet raw dog food is so much more represented compared with raw cat food.
It's clear to see from the reports above that the UK loves its cats and we do everything we can for our furry family member. We do more research now more then ever to get cat ownership right and make sure we put their health and happiness first. So overall, whilst I don't fully understand why raw cat & dog food are not being equally showcased and promoted, Kitty's Rawr Store is on the mission to change that, one Pampered Pedigree and one Mischievous Moggie at a time.
