Happy 1st Birthday to Kitty's Rawr Store

Wow! What an incredible first year of business since we opened our virtual doors in April 2025. As Kitty's Rawr Store celebrates its first anniversary this April, I wanted to take a moment to note some highlights of the past year, including notable raw cat food preferences, pet business news, and to show our appreciation to new feline business partners and products.

I am so very pleased and immensely proud to announce that Kitty's Rawr Store has been awarded Best Pet Food Supplier 2026 at the Animal Star Awards held in March 2026.

We were recognised because Kitty's Rawr Store is a unique concept, pure and simple. Although raw cat food is available to buy in some pet shops (if you are lucky enough to find it tucked in a freezer at the back) and you may find a small offering of raw cat food on other online raw dog food websites, but no-one is as dedicated to felines as us! We are the only online specialist for raw cat food who offers options from multiple UK manufacturers all in one place. We also offer a NO minimum order amount - a convenient feature that is not going to change so you can try as little or as much as your Kitty desires. We want to bring this natural, nutritious food to as many cats as we can around England and Wales, so making it accessible to cat keepers is a core value of Kitty's Rawr Store.

Figures show that this novel protein source has clearly been the most popular protein bought over the last year at Kitty's Rawr Store. Chicken is second most popular with Beef being a very close third choice. So give it a go if you haven't already, and see if it could be your kitty's new favourite.

New Products

Over the last 12 months I have discovered new pet food businesses (and businesses who have found me) who offer exciting and nutritious products which I was delighted to add to the growing catalogue of offerings at Kitty's Rawr Store.

• Petalicious - A range of complete raw foods in convenient, pre-portioned slices as well as raw meaty chunks and 100% dried meat treats such as pigeon breast and venison.

• Racer & Rascal - Freeze dried treats with no added preservatives or artificial nasties. Natural treats ranging from beef liver, chicken necks, shrimp to whole quail chicks, large chicken breast fillets and more.

• Bella and Duke - Complete raw food as well as a few tasty, natural treats and toppers for that extra special mealtime.

Friendly Feline Services

As well as finding great new products to add to the catalogue, I have also worked hard on adding more independently run pet related businesses to help promote via our Feline Services page. Over the last 12 months I have added 12 companies who can help to serve you and your Kitty in some way. The directory currently lists a wide array of experts in their fields such as feline nutritionists, cat groomers, a cat behaviourist, a cat chiropractor & cat sitters. There are also options for local catteries, welfare & rescue associations and even pet portrait artists for that extra special gift idea. See the whole list here.

Showing our Support

To help get Kitty's Rawr Store noticed by feline enthusiasts and to get involved with cat shows across the country we have sponsored a calendar, placed advertisements and leaflets in show catalogues and donated hundreds of money off vouchers. With most of Kitty's Rawr Store products being frozen, getting to a show in person is a logistical puzzle yet to be solved. (Ideas are very welcome!) So we do what we can to support shows from afar.
There are plans in the making with regards to getting to some shows that are nearer to our HQ in Buckinghamshire. Watch this space!

Going Green-er!

As you may already know, running as eco efficiently as possible has always been a core value right from the beginning. We have now begun to help the local community to become more green as well by providing a central collection point in Tring town centre for the wool liners that keep your Kitty's meals cold during their long journeys to your cat flap.

This collection point has been filling up much faster than anticipated, which is great news for us and anyone who would otherwise be sending this unwanted packaging to landfill. This concept has been so well received by the Tring locals, that I am seriously considering more collection points in the future across a few different local towns and villages.

You may have also noticed that your delivery has turned up in a branded box, and I don't mean Kitty's Rawr Store branded. In our eyes a box is just a vessel for your Kitty's food so why should perfectly good boxes go to waste? We love to reuse boxes whenever we can as this helps reduce our waste and also helps to keep costs down for both us and you. You wouldn't believe how expensive a brand new cardboard box is these days! So don't be alarmed if your order turns up in an unexpected box, just know that this is yet another way we can run as eco efficiently as possible and help everyone save some money whilst saving the environment.

From my Business to Yours

I have introduced a new Business to Business Consultancy option for other pet business owners who want to learn more about raw cat food and help to give them the confidence to talk to their customers about raw feeding felines and the added benefits it can bring. Independent pet businesses often help each other out and create a community of like minded business people who share the one common denomination of loving and caring for animals. We don't do it for the glory, fame or recognition, we all simply run pet businesses just for the much loved animals across the country.
